Abstract：This paper analyzed the generator tripping event during excitation limit and protection dynamic checking process of EX2100 excitation systems, and obtained the cause of the accident was the wrong increasing magnetic operation when over excitation limit action . Because the two sets of controller parameters inconsistent resulted in the excitation system trip. This paper gave some suggestions for excitation system dynamic checking test.
