Abstract:Assessment of transformer oil paper insulation, both time domain method and frequency domain method need to build oil-paper insulation equivalent circuit of transformer. Based on the principle of dielectric polarization, the oil-paper insulation equivalent circuit of transformer is mostly used the extended debye model, but it is always difficult to directly determine the number of the relaxation mechanism in the model. In this paper, the time domain dielectric spectroscopy is used to determine the number of relaxation mechanism, namely the time domain dielectric spectroscopy is gained by the differential operation of depolarization current. It is concluded that the number of peak point of the spectral lines is the number of relaxation mechanism, so as to establish the extended debye equivalent circuit model of oil-paper insulation transformer. This paper introduces the method of time domain dielectric spectroscopy in detail, and gives the examples to demonstrate that the method which is used to determine equivalent circuit model of oil-paper insulation transformer is feasibility and rationality.
