Abstract:The power factor correction (PFC) circuit can improve the power factor and suppress harmonic pollution. It uses the power electronics conversion technology to achieve the power factor correction function. The advantages and working principles of the single-phase bridgeless PFC circuit are introduced. The improved average current control method is used to control its operation and the corresponding circuit parameters are designed. Using this control method, the total harmonic distortion ratio (THD) can be reduced. The circuit model was established by PSIM simulation software and simulation experiments were conducted. The results show that the control method can make the input current and input voltage reach the same phase, while reducing the system THD, verifying the superiority of the method.
