Abstract:In this paper, an accident that the de-excitation resistance is seriously burned out during excitation which leads to shutdown is analyzed. Through a series of tests to simulate the excitation shutdown process of the unit, it is proved that the fault is caused by the defects of the mechanical jumper in the actual operation. Finally, in order to prevent such accidents from happening again, relevant technical suggestions are put forward to ensure the safe and stable operation of the excitation system.
