Abstract：This paper deeply analyzes the damage reason of oil-immersed power transformer, describes the importance of pressure release valve to protect the transformer, introduces the pressure release valve design principle and the products of Messko company,and study on the efficiency and comparative analysis of pressure release valves according to JB/T 7065—2004 standards based on an automatic test equipment platform which designed by Messko company.The conclusion has important significance for power transformer design,selection,internal fault discrimination and regular test.
