Research on Essential Technology of Large Generator VPI Insulating System

Abstract:The paper introduces research results of key technologies of VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) insulation system for large generator stator coils in HEC (Harbin Electric Machinery Company Limited). Firstly, raw material properties of VPI insulation system (such as impregnation lacquer, less-resin mica tape and anti-corona material) optimized selected are introduced. Secondly, key equipments properties of VPI insulation system (such as storge lacquer system, transport and return lacquer system and impregnating system) manufactured by domestic corporations are introduced. At lastly, plenty of tests of hydrogenerator stator coils had been carried out, and the test results ascertained some technologies which were about VPI stator coil insulation wrapping quelity, impregnate technology, onetime-molding-anticorona technology and hot-press technology. The stator coils properties can up to scratch of excellent product. Nowadays VPI insulation technology in HEC had rearch advanced international standards.
