Abstract：This paper introduces the characteristics of solar power tower plant and the development situation of solar power tower station at home and abroad at first, then expounds the key technology need to solve to develop solar power tower in china. By analyzing advantages and existing problems of solar power tower in china, some suggestions were put forward at last.
