With the increasingly outstanding contradiction between the rapid development of power grid and production carrying capacity, relay remote operation is an effective way to resolve the conflict, but the difficult points of relay protection remote operation is "double confirmation". This paper introduced according to EMS, achieve relay remote operation which in the security zone I, such as the realizing way of the remote protection function on/off switching, remote reclosing and remote relay switching settings value and the double confirm. The numerical results on a real power grid show that the proposed design of remote operation of relay protection improve maintaining efficiency and meet the requirements of "double confirmation".
