Abstract：The transmission line of a substation occur a 35kV short-circuit fault which causes the two main transformer of the substation to stop operation. Through inspection of fault place and recorded fault data, the paper analyses the cause of the action of the main transformer protection caused by line fault, and gives some specific recommendations in order to ensure the safe operation of the system equipment.
