Abstract:This paper presents a case of transformer protector tripping with no fault, by the methods of analyzing sequential relationship the field event message records, comparing the difference of the operation of the protector before and after the fault of the situation, extracting the key factors that influencing the logic of the protective action. Meanwhile, in virtue of fault simulation test, we reappeare mal-operationof the protector, and detact the bug on hardware loop inside the device. At length, analyzing and summarizein depth on the cause of the fault, and introducing the corresponding preventive measures.
