Abstract：The synchronous generator is the heart of the power system. It can work reliably and directly affects the safety and quality of the power supply. The generator in the manufacturing process, the insulation may be damaged, the formation of weakness in the operation process, will continue to suffer vibration, fever, corona, chemical corrosion and mechanical force, so the various parts of it are gradually aging, and influence with other parts of operation, until the damage. Thus it affects the safe operation of the generator. In order to find out the insulation defects of the generator, it is very necessary to carry out the generator preventive test.
