Abstract：External network equivalence is the basic module of modern interconnected power grid dispatching operation support system. The integrated intelligent scheduling system platform (OS2 system) solves the problems of underlying data, model consistency and standardization and provides favorable conditions for improving the accuracy of external network equivalence. Firstly, this paper introduces the basic framework of OS2. Then the online generation method of power grid equivalent model based on OS2 system is analyzed and the promotion effect on this method by the OS2 system is illustrated. At last, This method has been applied to a power grid in a certain area of China Southern Power Grid and the accuracy of the model has been improved by over 58%.
