Abstract:This paper presents a method of detecting transient disturbance signal based on the generalized S transform for the detection problems of transient power quality. The scale adjustment coefficient is introduced, and the optimal parameter is obtained through comparative analysis. Modulus time-frequency matrix is calculated by generalized S-transform, and then the disturbances’ start-stop time is localized using the high frequency time-amplitude curve. Moreover, four identification features are extracted according to maximum frequency spectrum curve, fundamental frequency amplitude curve and the localization results, and the classification of disturbance signals is performed based on a rule-based decision tree. Finally, simulation is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
