Abstract：In the development process of the spark source, whether the main circuit switch can stably trigger the conduction is the most critical part of the whole system. A vacuum trigger tube is used as the source discharge switch. Based on the vacuum trigger tube, a pulse trigger source capable of stably triggering the vacuum trigger tube conduction is developed. Two trigger loops: direct trigger and indirect trigger are designed, and the trigger tube conduction experiment verification and waveform acquisition are performed. The results show that the trigger energy of the trigger source has a great influence on the conduction of the trigger tube. The developed direct trigger source can make the vacuum trigger tube stably conduct. The successful development of this trigger source will also greatly promote the smooth development of follow-up research.
