Abstract：The article introduces the process of a case of loss excitation accident caused by communication failure between Automatic voltage regulator and rectifier cabinet and trip the field circuit breaker, which occurred in the leading power factor test, and analyzes the cause of the accident, combined with an engineering example, reasonable test method is given. Finally, puts forward suggestions for improvement of leading power factor test.
