Abstract：This paper analyzes an accident of synchronization grid connection which was happened in oil field's power grid. Because of the tripping of one transmission line in the power grid, the power grid was becoming isolated. When the other transmission line was operated of synchronization grid connection, the accident of asynchronous connection was happened, the accident was expanded, it caused a large area power failure. On the surface, the reason of accident is synchronous device failure. When the investigation was conducted, the main reason was the wrong dispatching command of the dispatcher. This paper will introduce the process of the accident and the investigation in detailed, advance some proposals and take technical transformation. Other similar power grids can use this accident for reference.
