Abstract:The abundance of electrical equipment leads to the excessive reactive power content in the power grid, then a large number of reactive power compensation devices have been used. In the application of reactive power compensation device, problems such as high temperature damage components and explosion often occur. In order to solve these problems, a kind of self-cooled static reactive power compensation generator is developed. The static reactive compensation generator is a kind of compensating device for automatic capacity limiting based on cabinet, insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) and the temperature parameters of the reactor. The control strategy of this device is changing the reactive current of the static reactive compensation device according to temperature changes, thus realizing the automatic capacity limiting. Since the capacity of the static reactive compensation generator can be automatically adjusted, it not only improves the reliability of the device but also extends the service life of the device.
