Abstract:With the rapid development of new energy in recent years, the application scenarios of multi-terminal transmission lines are increasing, and the application of multi-terminal current differential protection has become the best choice. This paper presents a multi-terminal current differential protection scheme based on synchronous phasor, which makes the application of differential protection for multi-terminal transmission lines feasible. Based on 61850-90-5 protocol, the routable electrical quantity information is transmitted through network. Based on the analysis of the synchronous phasor characteristics, a synchronization method of differential protection is proposed, which does not depend on the consistency of the transmission and transmission delay of the channel. Furthermore, the channel expansion method based on optical fiber and 5G wireless communication is proposed. On the premise of ensuring the reliability of differential protection, the adaptability of multi-terminal current differential protection to the channel is effectively improved.
