Abstract：A new emergency oil drainage device is installed for the 1 000kV transformer in the ultra-high voltage station. This article analyzes the oil leakage fault of the electric ball valve in the emergency oil drainage device. Firstly, the sealing performance and sealing material of electric ball valves are tested by a third-party testing agency. Then, based on the test results, special devices are used to conduct sealing performance tests for electric ball valves under different working conditions. Several reasons for oil leakage of electric ball valves are comprehensively analyzed. Finally, precautions for production inspection, installation and debugging, operation and maintenance of electric ball valves are given.
