Abstract:This paper based on the dual PWM converter to control of direct drive permanent magnet synchronous wind power generation system as the research object, introduced the system of the mathematical model of each component, determined the best wind energy capture strategy based on optimal tip speed ratio, designed a control system based on direct torque control strategy. Based on these advances, this paper proposed a new method of rotor position estimation. In the end, build a simulation model in Matlab/Simulink to validate direct drive permanent magnet synchronous wind power generation system. The result shows that the system can achieve maximum power tracking, realized sensorless direct torque control and have a good dynamic and static performance.
