Abstract:A method based on SMO to estimate the rotor position and speed is proposed according to the characteristics of sensorless PMSM. This method which chooses a continuous function for a traditional sign function and replaces an alterable cut-off frequency low pass filter with a fixed cut-off frequency one has simple control algorithm, a strong robustness and easily implementation of engineering application. The system simulation model of PMSM based on Matlab/Simulink is established, and the results verify its correctness and effectiveness.
