Abstract:Transient earth voltage (TEV) method for partial discharge (PD) test on switch cabinet, which has high sensitivity, strong anti-interference ability and is very suitable for online test, developed rapidly in recent years. However, due to short of application time in the domestic grid and lack of actual operating experience, in some substations it was still difficult to make full use of instruments based on TEV method and diagnose fault of switch cabinet fast and accurately. In this paper, through discussion of the detection principle, positioning method and anti-interference technology of TEV method, several problems encountered frequently in the field test were solved.
