Abstract In theory, the three-phase AC asynchronous motor slip is inversely proportional to its efficiency. To be specific, under the specified frequency and voltage, the higher the efficiency is, the higher the output speed can be achieved. In order to reduce the output power of a low efficient motor, one feasible technique can be to suppress the load speed by increasing the slip. As an example of electrical energy saving practice, such technique showcases its simplisticity and practicality, and yet can often be neglected when techniques are to be developed.
