Abstract When the single-phase permanent fault caused by current transformer below to the switch of 3/2 wiring way occurs, the exits to the circuit and the buses will be started for the purpose of protection. Thus, there will be a mismatch between the circuit protection and bus protection. This paper deeply analyzes a true case happened to a transformer substation of 500kV and contributes to be a reference to the substations installed with circuit-breaker protection equipment of NARI RCS-921A or RCS-921C.
