The Impact of Fault Current Limiter to LVRT of Distributed Network with Photovoltaic Power

Abstract  This paper analyzes the impace of protecting electronic switches and improving the ability of LVRT when fault current limiter connected to distributed network, then set up a solar cell model the DC-DC small signal model, a boost converter and inverter model in the PSCAD/EMTDC, and the above devices incorporated into the model to simulate in PSCAD/EMTDC. The simulation results show that fault current fault current limiter can limiting the size of the the fault current and improving the ability of LVRT.
