Abstract This paper presents a direct current control strategy based on space vector pulse modulation. It also presents the topology and the mathematical model of voltage source rectifier, and optimizes the structure, hardware and software of the control system. A prototype of experimental device was developed and tested with PWM rectifier. The static and dynamic performance of the proposed controlling system was verified by the operating experiments, and it shows the control system has a good stability and dynamic performance.
