Research on the Low Voltage Ride Through Reconstruction Technology for Frequency Converter of Thermal Power Unit Auxiliary Equipment |

Abstract Most frequency converter of the auxiliary equipment of thermal power unit will trigger low voltage protection when the voltage drops to a certain degree, leadingthe downtime of auxiliary equipment or even the thermal power unit. Therefore, ensure the low voltage ride through for auxiliary equipment of the thermal power unit is extremelyurgent. Based on the comprehensive survey of the configuration and usage of high and low voltage frequency converter in Jiangsu Province, the structure of high and low voltage frequency converter is introduced, the various solutions of low voltage ride through is summarized analyzedand the advantages and disadvantages of various options are analyzed. Finally this paper introduces typical cases of successful reform of the power plants in Jiangsu Province for reference.
