Abstract 110kV backup Power Automatic Switch device had been widely used in the power grid to improve power supply reliability, which could adapt to different power grid operation mode. In this paper, no voltage of TV and inaccurate of TWJ Signal, combined with the actual operation mode substation, which lead to incorrect operation of the devices were analyzed. Incorrect operation risk control methods were proposed, which can improve the success rate and power supply reliability of the operation through the analysis of 110kV backup Power Automatic Switch device considering risk control principle. The results indicate that these control measures achieved good results in practical applications, and has important guiding significance for engineering practice.
