Abstract This paper describes the currently widely used in Smart Substation clock synchro- nization and time synchronization of smart substation safe and stable operation of the significance, introduces a kind of based on the principle of SNTP ping-pong to achieve all automation equipment in the substation intelligent time synchronization scheme of online monitoring system. A monitoring method based on the synchronized pulse monitoring device is proposed to realize the monitoring scheme of the merging unit sampling synchronous pulse, which is used for real-time monitoring of the synchronous pulse, and the monitoring data and its own state are sent to the substation station control network through MMS, and its reliability is verified by the test platform. This scheme has some reference value for improving the reliability of the intelligent substation using SV data networking mode.
