Abstract In order to ensure the power supply reliability of multi-circuit transmission lines on the same tower. Live operation of multi-circuit transmission lines on the same tower has become a research hotpot. Arming at the current technical difficulties of electric maintenance for 110~220kV multi-circuit strain-resistant transmission lines on the same tower, The structural mechanics analysis and accessory apparatus have been carried out to support the reverse operation method for replacing strain insulator. Difficulties such as small working space, low margin of safety on electric maintenance for 110~220kV multi-circuit strain-resistant transmission lines on the same tower can be solved by the method.
