Abstract To guide the optimization of demand side energy utilization management level and to participate the peak load shaving of power grid to overall improve the energy utilization efficiency,describes the background and significance of distributed storage construction technology application in power demand side management; from the construction technology application conditions, model analyses the feasibility of application of distributed storage in power demand side management technology; exploration of distributed energy storage system based on cloud management platform, puts forward the hierarchical structure of the system and described the relationship between the layers; the detailed design of the system's physical structure, function structure, and analysis the key technology of the system. The design scheme has been applied to the research and development of idle energy storage demonstration project of Guangzhou communication base station, which provides technical support for DSM in Guangzhou. The future will lay the technical foundation for the promotion and implementation of energy efficiency management and demand response business within South Power Grid.
