Analysis and optimization on current distribution of high-power electric slip ring |

Abstract To solve the uneven contact transmission current problem on the first high-power electric slip ring in our country, we derived the resistance ratios between inner rings, outer rings, wire, and contact, based on experimental data. The results match with measured values. By analysizing the ratios, we found the length of the wire connected to each contact can affect current distribution on the ring. We then calculated the theoretic wire length of each contact, so that the current transmitted by each contact can be even when the slip ring turns at a certain angle.
