Detection and discrimination of DC side fault arc in photovoltaic system |

Abstract To solve the problem of DC side fault arc detection in photovoltaic system, a threshold detection algorithm based on arc time-frequency domain characteristic is proposed. Firstly, the arc generator is connected to the experimental photovoltaic system to generate repeatable DC arc waveform, and the experimental arc waveform is collected by sensors and oscilloscopes. Secondly, the obtained data are imported into Matlab for Fourier transform analysis and arc characteristics are obtained. The feasibility of the proposed method is verified by theoretical analysis and experimental results.
