Abstract A portable ring network cabinet simulator for distribution network is designed. Based on the electrical switch action principle, controlled by single chip microcomputer and host PC, with the relays and relevent electronic components, a ring network cabinet simulator is finished. The switch of ring network cabinet is presented by the relay main contact, and the Electric five defenses are presented by the auxiliary contact. The manual operation, printing, record as well as other automatic features are controlled by the designed software. Meanwhile,the signals of the control instruction are transfered through wireless network communication. The final equipment is designed as two circuit board layers for its portable feature.
