Abstract According to the requirements of the new generation intelligent substation secondary system for the hardware reliability of local equipment, this paper studies the method of hardware self-checking. In view of the difficulties in memory testing, a new detection method is proposed to improve the memory error correction ability and obtain the running status of hardware equipment in time. The newly designed local module has the function of abnormal active early warning and automatically identifies hidden faults of secondary equipment. Through the expansion of communication protocol, the hardware self-checking information is sent to the hardware self-checking monitoring system to realize the overall perception of the secondary equipment status of substation, which provides technical support for condition maintenance and improves the running reliability of equipment.
