Abstract In the development and qualification stage of small unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) project, the test system of steering gear is used to adjust the rocker arm of steering gear in the process of assembly, test the system after final assembly and test the system after flight, so as to checking the status of the steering gear and ensuring the safety of UAV. The test system of steering gear consists of steering gear test equipment, oscilloscope and ground station control equipment, which can accomplish the power supply, calibration, rotation test, monitoring the working voltage and current of steering gear. The experiment shows that the test system of steering gear can check the status of the steering gear effectively and make sure the safety of the UAV.
