Electric field and statics simulation analysis of busbar for energy storage system |

Abstract The busbars in the energy storage container are mainly used for charging and discharging the battery. There are often large voltages and currents during the charging and discharging process. If the layout of the busbars is unreasonable, it is likely to discharge which is caused by insufficient insulation distance, or because of unreasonable structural strength design, structural deformation or damage occurs during transportation, charging and discharging, which affects the operational reliability of the energy storage container. This article takes the busbar in an energy storage container as an example, introduces the main structure and working conditions of the busbar, and uses Ansys Mechanical APDL to analyze the electric field distribution of the busbar during charging and discharging. In order to verify whether the strength of the busbar structure meets the application requirements, Ansys Workbench is used to analyze the force of the busbar in transportation, operation, resonance and other working conditions. Through analysis, the structural rationality of this kind of energy storage container busbar is verified, which provides reference for the design of similar electrical components.
