Abstract  Building up a simulation model of distributed generators adding into the power grid in PSCAD/EMTDC. Simulating the fault features of distributed generators with fault current limiter, different types of generators and neutral point grounding method.Knowing that the relay configuration and the match problem should consider the protection of the distributed generators and its power electronic interface device; Asynchronous generator and synchronous motor have different fault characteristics when fault occurs;Fault features associate with the neutral point grounding way of system; In the case of asynchronous wind power generator as a distributed power supply, the fault currents at distributed generators side nearly same to zero sequence current, the fault phase current and the fault phase current is almost same to each other.
