Parallel Resonant Capacitor Analysis of the Class E Power Amplifier |

Abstract The class E power amplifier has the advantage of simple structure, so it is widely applied to the inverter, DC-DCconverter and induction heating power and some other high power, high frequency circuit. The derivation and simulation process found parallel resonant capacitor existence range, beyond this range circuit cannot achieve the ZVS (zero voltage switching). This paper is based on theoretical analysis of the class E power amplifier, which gets the relationship of the whole parameters, then we can calculate the under solved parameters. It is analyse the influence of different parallel resonant capacitor on the circuit via saber simulation, also the simulation parameters and the theory have good consistency. Finally the simulation and experiment verify the parameters obtained under maximum resonant capacitor, which provides reference for the parameter design of class E power amplifier.
