Abstract In order to further reduce the current distortion factor of AC side of PWM rectifier,the paper adopts the pulse width modulation based on instantaneous current and designs the direct instantaneous current control system based on the instantaneous power theory.At first, this paper briefly introduce the direct control of pulse width modulation based on the instantaneous current. Then, the system is verified by simulation model based on Matlab environment.Finally,the hardware and software of the system is analyzed on the prototype of 25kW. The results show that the control system has the advantage of low AC distortion factor and simple control.
