Abstract Transmission line is an important part of the power system, the reliable operation of the transmission line is related to the healthy development of the national economy. The distribution area of the transmission line is wide, the range is large, and the analysis of the fault location and fault location is very important for ensuring the reliable operation of the transmission line. In this paper, the fault location method for transmission line traveling wave based on multi point current measurement is analyzed and discussed, relative to the traditional traveling wave analysis, the accuracy of the fault location is improved, and the fault location of the transmission line has a certain reference value.
