Study of Compensation for Capacitive Nonlinear Load in Active Power Filter |

Abstract It is a serious resonance phenomenon happened when compensating capacitive nonlinear load for active filter in practical application field. The paper proposed a method of selective harmonic compensation based on FFT algorithm after analyzing the load features of UPS capacitive nonlinear load. Finally, the experimental results of a 50kVA shunt active filter for compensating a 200kVA UPS capacitive nonlinear load with phase-controlled rectifier equipment are given to verify effectiveness of the proposed study.
