Abstract At present the intelligent substation has become a trend in the form of intelligent power grid. In order to ensure the safe operationsand reduce the accidents, power equipment inspection becomes a routine and very important work for personnel. Currently In the case of the current substation is mostly human patrol mode . Under present mode, the rate and the quality is uneven, the reports are not easy to save and analysis, inspection can not accurately and inspection items are missing. This paper studies the design of power equipment patrol system based on two dimensional code recognition technology. The personnel read the code tag with a portable mobile termina. Then they complete the data record of the equipments. At last inspection results will automatically summary and complete electronic statements for long-term tracking and fault analysis. This can realize the power equipment inspection work real-time, standardization, scientification, network management. It can be further extended to other areas of the patrol system.
