Abstract This paper based on an installed 20kW photovoltaic power generation project, using the meteorological data of NASA's meteorological sites and software of HOMER and Matlab to obtain annual curve of global solar and wind speed. Then considering the situation of off-grid and on-grid to configure the capacity of vertical axis wind turbine and battery, provides a reference for the planning of building wind/PV/storage hybrid power generation system.
