Abstract Power flow calculation is a basic calculation of the electrical power system analysis. The traditional load flow isn’t easy to converge when a large unbanlance power exists which coursed by the change of node injection power, the result doesn’t conform to the reality. For this, this article under the matlab environment using P-Q decomposition method and the optimal control theory to the combination of dynamic power flow calculation, it has surmounted the condition that flow convergence to be not good and result is inconsistent with reality which since balanced node undertakes unbalanced power alone in traditional load flow, compared with the conventional dynamic power flow calculation, it improve the speed and accuracy.
