Abstract It is very necessary for city distribution network planning to analyze and evaluate distributions scientifically, and with the continuous increasing influencing factors of the risk in the process of its development, a comprehensive evaluation indices system of city distribution networks based on analytic hierarchy process is established. By means of 1-9 scaling method the comprehensive weight of the index for single item is determined, thus, combine with the expert experience and quantitative and qualitative evaluation result, quantitative assessment of the situation of distribution network is realized.
