Abstract Aiming at the problem of Electric contact line disconnection fault location, the paper used improved ERSS algorithm, which pretreated and improved weighting factors in RSSI and cancroids method. Simulation results shows that under the same test conditions, this algorithm can improved the positioning accuracy and reduce the cost, also it provides powerful guarantee for rapid repair of the contact line and the recovery of the train operation.
