Abstract Regard one power cable fault of the 101th Line extruder generator pertained to one chemical corporation’s Synthetic Rubber And Plastic production unit as an instance. Start from the operating principle of transducer, analyze the mechanism of high-order harmonic produced by inverter, and then take a computational analysis of the harmonic functions’ power, reach a conclusion that accumulation of heating effect accelerates the cable insulation’s worse, and propose some effective solutions combined with the experiences of electric engineering precautionary tests.
