Abstract With the development of the machine tool online detaction, there are many methods of detect the tool wear and fracture. For the machine have no tool break detection alarm and being limited by the space, which can’t add the alram of tool detection. It raised we can monitor the torque and improve the PLC programs, in order to detecting the tool condition online. The characteristics of the application are module, low cost and wide range of application. No changes to the hardware of the machine, also can use other methods of the tool detection in the same time. Detect the tool condition more accurately.
