Practical Application of Digital Electrical Power Metering Technique in Smart Subslation of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province |

Abstract Operation failure conditions of the digital power meter in smart substation of Wuxi, Jiangsu are recorded and analyzed. The statistic results shows that a series of problems, such as upload failure of power consumption measurement results and error abnormity are still existed in practical application. The implementation of the digital electrical power meter in Wuxi 220kV Xijing smart substation is investigated at the scene. Not only the digital power meter failures are existed, but also the wire connections and the responsibility division of digital power metering equipment are ambiguous, causing problems for metering operation maintenance. Current problems in digital power metering techniques are summarized, providing a reference for future works.
